This guest spent his holiday in bed and breakfast in Rome at Quodlibet on: 11/2013
My friends and I stayed at Quodlibet from 5-9 November 2013.
The facilities and the location of this B&B are excellent! Most of our activities in Rome were in the Vatican City so the location was very, very convenient as it is a 10 minute leisurely walk to that area. There are also shops along the way - wish we had more time to visit them!
The metro stop is a just 3 minute walk away. There is a gelateria along the way as well as a bakery right next to Quodlibet.
Arrangements were not hard to make and the booking office was very patient (thanks Consolata!) with all our changes and repeated requests. They also respond quickly to your e-mails.
As others have mentioned, Gian Luca and Agostino are very accommodating, friendly and excellent ambassadors for the city of Rome. We arrived at Quodlibet a few minutes later than expected and we saw Gian Luca patiently waiting for us. He singlehandedly loaded all our baggage into the small lift and quickly dashed to the 4th floor to unload them! That's fantastic service for you! We were 5 females so that's about 10 pieces of baggage including handcarried bags!
Gian Luca also gave us an excellent briefing on how to get around the city. He also recommended 2 restaurants that locals patronize and we appreciated that. We went back to one of the restos twice because the food was so good. We couldn't find the other restaurant but for sure, during our next trip, we will be able to find it!
Gian Luca was also there every day to make sure our breakfast was prepared properly. He also had our pretty and efficient "kababayan" (compatriot) Lizette, to assist him.
The breakfast offerings were generous. No scrimping on the cold cuts, bread, fruits and Nutella :-) I wish though we could have variations on the eggs. I'm sure our request would have been accommodated if we had asked. But really the variety is more than what I usually have for breakfast.
The rooms are very clean and spacious by European standards. Same with the bathrooms. Wish we had time to vegetate in the room and enjoy watching some shows on the big flat screen TV. The B&B is tastefully decorated with some personal touches.
Since Rome was our last stop, we didn't see the need to do any laundry but it would be an extra plus if there were laundry facilities.
On our last day in Rome, Gian Luca was there to see every one off. What a gracious host!
I have already recommended Quodlibet to family, friends and colleagues. In fact, one of my travelling companions has already booked her room in time for the canonization of the 2 Popes in April 2014.
And as corny as it may sound, I'd like to quote Arnold Schwarzenegger: "I'll be baaaaccckkk!!!"
Maraming maraming salamat Gian Luca, Agostino, Lizette at Consolata!! Mabuhay kayong lahat! (Please ask Lizette to translate that for all of you)
