This guest spent his holiday in bed and breakfast in Rome at Quodlibet on: 8/2013
Wonderful stay for our first time in Rome. Stayed 4 nights from Aug 12-16 in the large and very spacious "green" room. We really enjoyed the very warm and welcoming hospitality by Gianluca. It exceeded our expectations even after the many great reviews. It was the personal touch that made the difference. This included a cold drink and snack upon our arrival with a overview of Rome and a chance to ask any questions we had. Tips and recommended restaurants were given to us and locations which we appreciated. Many insider tips are provided on how to beat the lines, local events and anything else.
For restaurants we ate at Il Duca in Travestere and Da Francesca near Piazza Navona. Both were delicious and used fresh ingredients and were off the beaten track. Next to our table at Da Francesco, a bunch of local Italian men were playing chess all evening on the street.
We really like the breakfasts in our room and had more than enough to eat and service was very quick. We enjoyed being able to touch base each morning with Gianluca to ask any questions we had and talk about the previous day.
Great location for this place. The bakery in the basement is open 24hrs per day and there is a new gelato stand down the street near the metro. It is called Lemongrass Gelato and has amazing artisan gelato which we had every day.
They go above and beyond at this place. A couple other highlights are that on the last day we forgot to print our Ryan air boarding cards and with only notification the evening before, in the morning he brought our printed passes so we didn't have to pay a ridiculous fee at the airport. Also with my wife being 6 months pregnant, we were given a celebratory bottle of wine to take home and enjoy following delivery of our child. Very thoughtful gesture.
