This guest spent his holiday in bed and breakfast in Rome at Quodlibet on: 6/2013
QuodLibet was a fantastic B&B. Very spacious room for Italy and a very nice bathroom, very modern and clean. The breakfast was excellent and plentiful with fresh pastries from the local bakery, boiled eggs, yogurts, meats and cheeses, breads, fresh fruit and very good Italian coffee! We were so full from breakfast that we often skipped lunch or didn't eat until late afternoon. The location was very good, a few blocks away from the Vatican (which we needed for an early morning tour) and the Occtavio (?sp) metro station was 2 blocks away. All the major sites seemed to be about a 30-40 min walk away and the Vatican was a 10 min walk away. But the best part was the owner Augustino! He was fantastic. We stayed in 7 B&Bs in our time in Italy and he was the best host. He was so friendly and was so helpful. Each day he helped us plan our itinerary. He would go over our walking map with up and help us plan out our day and give suggestions for non-touristy restaurants to go to along the route (ALL excellent in our opinion.) He even warned us to stay away from the Colosseum on a parade day when we thought it would be okay to head down that way (good advice) and warned us the day before about a metro strike planned for the next day. He has a passion for his city and loves running QuodLibet which is wonderful. We had an early morning flight on our last day and they were able to arrange a private car to bring us to the airport at a very reasonable price. We highly recommend this B&B, not just for the accommodation but for the priceless advice you get from Augustino which makes your experience in Rome much richer. Thank you Augustino for making our 6 days in Rome comfortable, exciting and memorable. When we return to Rome, we will return to QuodLibet.
