Che ha soggiornato in bed and breakfast a Roma presso il QuodLibet nel mese di: 12/2013
QuodLibet is the ideal place to stay in Rome for 3 main reasons: its great location, the excellent service and the reasonable price (especially for Rome).
1- The B&B is situated in Prati, a lively neighborhood nearby the Vatican. It's very central, at walkable distance to all main touristy sites (and there is a metro stop at the street corner for those who are not fond of walking all day). The neighborhood is not too touristy so you get a sense of how locals live, there are shops, indoor food market, bakeries (the famous Castroni store is very close by), decent amount of restaurants at your door step.
2- Agostino, the host, was super nice and resourceful to optimize our time in Rome during our 3 day-visit. At our arrival, he helped us find a parking spot and spent 15 min. with us driving around the neighborhood. We also spent some time to go over a map on which he drew itineraries by foot we could follow to explore Rome. For Christmas eve, he took care of making reservation in a restaurant nearby and was very responsive to my emails when I found out that the owner of the restaurant changed his mind and decided to close the restaurant on Dec 24!
Even though the managers of the B&B (Agostino and Gianluca) don't leave on the premises, which could sometime give you the impression you are in a hotel, they make themselves easily available via emails and are usually here every morning... with such hospitality and warm welcome, you definitely feel in good hands!
3- Finally the price is very reasonable and I don't think you could find similar B&B so well maintained and managed in Rome.
As a final note, the rooms are spotless, tastefully decorated, with modern bathroom and there is a 'Ikea-style' kitchen you can use to make yourself a cup of tea at night (big box of various teas at disposal). Breakfast is abundant, with excellent toasted bread (croissants are not great... but I am French so very picky on pastries). Fruit, yogurt and pre-packed cheese/ham/salami are also part of the morning feast (are not the best, but for the price you pay very decent).
I would definitely recommend this place to any friend/family who plans a getaway in Rome.
