Stayed here for four nights as the last leg of three-city European trip which also included London and Paris. The B&B is located on the top floor on Level 5 of a commercial building and can be quite inconspicuous if arriving for the first time via public transport (we booked the car service from Fiumicino Airport for reasonable EUR 47,00). Even so the area felt safe even during evenings and we thoroughly enjoyed the tremendous location near the Vatican and within a stone's throw of Ottaviano metro station. Immediately upon arriving you are taken aback by the genuine friendliness and hospitality of the hosts Gianluca and Agostino. They were only ever too happy to sit down with you to discuss the workings of the B&B, help you plan out your itinerary when in Rome (Agostino helped us with bookings to Galleria Borghese) and had some great restaurant tips which we gladly followed and loved the offerings. In terms of the rooms, we were allocated the one on the left at the end of the corridor - the interior had a light blue theme and was modern, clean and roomy. Bathroom was spacious with bathtub, separate shower compartment and even a bidet - although not being a hotel we were caught out by them not having any toothpaste (they did have soap and shampoo). Overall, wouldn't describe it as being luxuriously appointed but it was certainly cosy and a true to the description and promotional photos used on the website. The free wi-fi connection was fast and there was even a Samsung Smart TV with internet capability and wireless keyboard to surf the net with. Only slight issue we had was that at night the blinds don't block out enough of the light from outside, even with the louvres closed so this might take some getting used to. In terms of the buffet breakfast offered each morning - you certainly wouldn't be left hungry as there is quite an offering which is served in your room. The basket of various bread rolls and croissants from the 24 hour bakery downstairs kept you full, you also get a fruit basket, Italian ham on toast, yoghurts, and juice/coffee (unfortunately brewed coffee and not the espresso variety). In the four days my wife and I couldn't never even get close to finishing! Overall, for a first time European traveller and also first time using the services of a B&B our experience at Quod Libet was close to flawless. Cannot speak highly enough of Gianluca and his premises and would definitely stay there if ever in Rome again.
