quote your comment about outìr bed and breakfast in RomeAgostino and John Luca (brothers-in-law) work hard to make this B&B experience very special. We met our adult daughter in Rome, so needed room for three. The "summer room" at Quodlibet accomodated us very well. The breakfasts included rolls from the bakery next door (yum!), protein, dairy, and fruit... really started each day off right. The location can't be beat, since it's just a ten minute walk from the Vatican and just a block from the nearest subway station. Our plane arrived at 8:00 a.m. In the states we'd have to wait until 4:00 to check in, but here they just hustled and made sure we felt welcome and encouraged us to take a nap to help with jet lag. A restaurant, il Duca, was recommended by Agostino, so we tried it and loved it. They were concerned that we knew how to be safe on the subway, so we heeded their advice and found it easy and safe (other guests had their passports stolen on the subway the day we arrived. They dropped everything to help the guests figure out what to do.) My final comment is that the apartment was quiet of interior noises, like doors slamming, other guests voices, etc. We wouldn't have known there were others there if we hadn't seen them at breakfast. There were some normal street noises, but nothing too annoying. It was a great experience.

quote your comment about outìr bed and breakfast in RomeWe spent 4 nights in QuodLibet this January with our 2.5 year old daughter and it was the best B&B we stayed in during our 2.5 weeks trip to Italy. The room - We had the family room which was enormous (!!), had a huge double bed and another bed for our daughter, enough room for a table with 4 chairs, a big closet and much more. One of the things we liked was the fact that just outside our door was a kitchen that was always stocked with coffee/tea/milk (and that on top of the espresso machine in the room!) and also cookies and pastries, so it felt more like an apartment than a room. The rooms were cleaned every day. The breakfast - was the best we had in Italy - fresh bakery goods every day (from the bakery downstairs which was wonderful and you can't escape its smell :-)), fresh bread or toast, hot cappuccino, yogurt, cheese, boiled egg and basically everything you need in a breakfast! Always filled us up until late in the day. The hosts - the best thing about Qoudlibet! Finally a place where the moment we got to it, we got a map with suggestions on what to do for all of our time in Rome including recommendations you don't find in any guidebooks and restaurants "prepared" for each of our nights - each one better than the previous one (especially "L'Osteria Centouno" - best steak I had in Italy!). And if that's not enough - they were always available - from advise what to do on a rainy day to ordering us pizza for take away and making dinner reservations and even recommending us where to buy gifts for the family and where I can buy a nice bag for myself. The location - the B&B is extremely close to the vatican and literally 50 meters from a metro station and the area has lots (!!) of restaurants, shops etc. but it is not in the center of Rome. It really didn't bother us since we like walking and due to the vicinity to the metro station and I would not trade the location for any other! Wifi - flawless. All in all, one of the best B&B we stayed in, in Italy and outside it, especially thanks to Agostine & Gianluca and wonderful room. Doron, Shira & Gilad.
